Jess's view

Feminism is a broad topic, in which different opinions can be interpreted by one's perspective. My name is Jessica, but I'm fine with Jess, and my focus is not on the general aspect on feminism, but my focal point pivots to women in the media. People can generally view feminism as power within women, but the degradation in how women are perceived then derives from the media. Our generation of women and young girls look up to certain artists and female icons in the music industry. When someone is viewed as a type of "role model", people look up to them because that person is someone who inspires them to be who they want to be. An artist can definitely have an impact in someone's life and decision making, therefore they should not use their body or physical appearance to show that it is worth value, but instead make their admirers embrace who they already are.
